| Stuart C. Gilman is Director, Advanced Fellowships and Professional Development, Office of Academic Affiliations, in the Veterans Health Administration. Dr. Gilman received his M.D. at Rush Medical College, Chicago, and completed Internal Medicine Training at UC Irvine. Subsequently, he received his M.P.H. in Health Services from UCLA, and was a Robert Wood Johnson/VA Clinical Scholar at UCSF, completing in 1989. Dr. Gilman frequently represents VA in a variety of physician and other professional development venues, and contributes to the literature in that field. In April, 2005 he was appointed to the Office of Academic Affiliations, assuming oversight of VA's advanced fellowships, including VA's participation in the Clinical Scholars Program. He also is Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, Irvine.
